Harvest With Heart
In 2021 the South Zone Community Gardens started a food donation program for the benefit of the Regina Food Bank. A special committee of the Board, called Harvest With Heart, grows produce on two garden plots and collects surplus food from many gardeners through the summer. Several thousand pounds of fresh, locally and organically grown produce has been donated to the Food Bank in the past two years. The program is on-going, and is expected to to grow, collect and donate food again this year and in the years to come.
