The South Zone Recreation Board is thankful for the many volunteers who help make our community a better place to live, work, and to raise a family.  Each year one or more individuals are recognized for going above and beyond the call of duty.  These outstanding volunteers are presented with an award in appreciation of their significant contribution to fellow citizens, community and to our city.

 

The 2010 Awards Banquet was held at The West Harvest Inn Saturday, October 30, 2010. Approximately 80 volunteers gathered to enjoy a wonderful meal and lots of chatter.  Thanks to Master of Ceremonies, Gerry Fincati, for hosting the event, and for the committee—Janet Watson, Lois Kos, and Gerri Fincati.

 

During the past seventeen years the South Zone Recreation Board Volunteer of the Year Award has been presented as follows:
